Several Culverts added to Hole Number Four at Cherokee FMDGS to help ensure proper water drainage

Disc Golf Design Group awarded Maintenance Agreement at Fire Mountain Disc Golf Sanctuary

The Fire Mountain Disc Golf Course Design was created to ensure we met the client’s objective of creating a spectacular championship caliber disc golf course that will challenge the best in the game. Based on all the great feedback we are receiving, we believe we have accomplished that goal and to shoot par or under one will likely be required to shoot a 1000 rated round or higher. Even though the course is hard, extra energy has been put in to ensure each fairway has legitimate, non-obstructed flight lines to all basket positions.

Thanks to the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, since May our DGDG team has been working hard to maintain the course and make sure all fairways are clear. Other improvements have also been made like the culverts and 150 foot drainage ditch added to the right side of hole number 4 to ensure proper water flow away from the fairway. Also baskets have been moved to different locations allowing for another challenging layout whether your playing to the Gold basket positions or the Red. If you have not had a chance to make it out to the Fire Mountain Disc Golf Sanctuary in Cherokee NC please put it on your priority list. We think you will find this disc golf sanctuary magical while challenging your game to the utmost.
